(407) 900-5880
At Rambo Investigations, LLC, we know that hiring a private investigator can feel overwhelming, especially if you've never done it before. Below are answers to the questions we hear most often from clients across Florida. If your question isn't listed here, call (407) 900-5880 or request a free confidential consultation online.
Costs and Pricing
How much does a private investigator cost in Florida?
At Rambo Investigations, background checks start at $150. VIN checks are $99. Infidelity and surveillance services are billed hourly or at case-based flat fees. Visit our pricing page for a full breakdown.
Do you charge hourly or flat fees?
Most surveillance services are billed hourly. Background checks and certain investigations are offered at flat rates. During your free consultation, we provide a clear estimate so there are no surprises.
What is included in a background check package?
Our background checks typically include criminal history, civil court filings, employment verification, financial red flags, and online presence reviews. Reports can be tailored depending on your needs.
Infidelity and Relationships
Can you find out if my spouse or partner is cheating?
Yes. Our investigators discreetly monitor suspicious behavior and provide photo, video, and timeline evidence. This can be used for personal clarity or in legal proceedings. Learn more about our infidelity investigation services.
Can you track if someone is using dating apps like Tinder or Bumble?
Yes. We can document activity on dating apps when relevant to an investigation, while staying within the law. This is common in infidelity cases.
How discreet are infidelity investigations?
Extremely discreet. Our investigators blend in and use professional surveillance techniques so the subject remains unaware of the investigation. Your privacy is protected by a confidentiality agreement from day one.
Background Checks
What information can you find in a background check?
Our comprehensive reports can include criminal records, court cases, financial issues, employment verification, property ownership, and social media activity.
Can you run checks for dating, tenants, or employment?
Yes. Many of our clients use our services to vet dating partners, verify tenants, or check employment history. We tailor the scope based on your purpose and ensure compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) when applicable.
How accurate and reliable are your reports?
We use licensed investigative databases and multiple sources to ensure accuracy. All findings are cross-verified before being delivered. Unlike automated online services, every report is reviewed by a licensed investigator.
Surveillance
What kind of surveillance do you do?
We provide covert mobile, stationary, and video surveillance. Depending on the case, this may include photos, video recordings, GPS monitoring, and activity logs.
Can you follow someone without them knowing?
Yes. Our investigators are trained to conduct surveillance without alerting the subject. Discretion is our priority.
Is surveillance legal in Florida?
Yes, when conducted by a licensed PI in compliance with Florida Statutes Chapter 493. We operate strictly within the law, including Fla. Stat. § 934.03 governing interception of communications.
GPS Tracking
Is GPS tracking legal in Florida?
Only under specific circumstances. Under Fla. Stat. § 934.425, placing a GPS tracking device on a vehicle without the owner's or lessee's consent is a criminal offense. You may track a vehicle you own or co-own. Our investigators only deploy GPS tracking when permitted by law and advise every client on what is and is not permitted before tracking begins.
Can you detect if someone put a GPS tracker on my car?
Yes. Our vehicle tracking device detection service uses professional RF detection equipment and physical inspection to locate hidden GPS trackers, AirTags, Bluetooth devices, audio bugs, and OBD-II port trackers. If a device is found, we document it with photos and a professional report for use by law enforcement or your attorney.
Legal and Evidence
Is private investigation evidence admissible in Florida courts?
Yes. As long as the evidence was gathered legally, it can be submitted in Florida courts. Our evidence is authenticated under Fla. Stat. § 90.901. Our investigators can also provide testimony when required.
Can a PI testify in court on my behalf?
Yes. Our investigators can testify about their findings and provide supporting documentation in depositions, hearings, or trial.
What are private investigators legally allowed to do in Florida?
Under Florida Statutes Chapter 493, licensed investigators may conduct surveillance in public, gather information, run records checks, trace digital footprints, and prepare reports. We cannot impersonate law enforcement, trespass, hack into accounts, or record audio without consent under Florida's two-party consent law.
Is it legal to hire a private investigator?
Yes. Hiring a licensed private investigator in Florida is completely legal. At Rambo Investigations, LLC, we hold Florida Agency License #A3500041 and are fully insured to provide lawful, ethical investigative services statewide.
Confidentiality and Privacy
Will the person I'm investigating find out?
No. All of our work is conducted covertly. We take extensive measures to ensure subjects are unaware of any investigation.
How do you protect client confidentiality?
All information is stored securely, and communications remain private. Every client engagement is protected by a confidentiality agreement. We never share client details without consent. You can book confidentially online without anyone knowing you contacted us.
Missing Persons and Skip Tracing
Can you find a missing person?
Yes. Our missing persons and skip tracing services combine advanced investigative databases, OSINT, social media analysis, and field investigation to locate missing family members, witnesses, defendants, debtors, heirs, and lost connections.
Can you find someone with just a name?
In many cases, yes. A name gives us a starting point to search investigative databases, public records, and digital footprints. The more identifying information you can provide, the faster the results.
What if the person doesn't want to be found?
Locating individuals who are deliberately avoiding contact is one of our core specialties. Our layered approach combines database research, OSINT, field canvassing, and surveillance to locate even the most evasive subjects.
Crypto Fraud and Online Scams
Can you investigate a cryptocurrency scam?
Yes. Our crypto fraud investigation services include blockchain transaction tracing, OSINT scammer identification, and evidence packaging for FBI IC3 reports and civil litigation. We do not offer "hack back" services or guarantee recovery. We provide forensic documentation through legal channels.
Can you investigate internet or phone scams?
Yes. Our internet and phone scam investigations help victims identify scammers, trace communications, document evidence, and file reports with the appropriate authorities.
How do I know if a crypto recovery service is a scam?
Be extremely cautious of anyone claiming they can "hack" the blockchain or "reverse" a transaction. Red flags include guaranteed recovery, upfront fees with no documentation, and unsolicited contact through Telegram, WhatsApp, or social media DMs. Legitimate investigators are licensed professionals who use data analysis and legal channels.
Attorney and Specialty Services
Do you work with attorneys and law firms?
Yes. Attorneys across Central Florida rely on Rambo Investigations for witness location, evidence gathering, surveillance, background checks, and litigation support in family law, criminal defense, civil litigation, personal injury, and insurance defense cases.
Do you handle child custody or cohabitation cases?
Yes. We frequently assist in custody disputes, documenting cohabitation, parenting behavior, and lifestyle concerns when relevant to court proceedings. Call (407) 900-5880 to discuss your case.
Can you investigate insurance fraud or disability claims?
Yes. We provide surveillance and documentation in suspected fraud cases, often working directly with attorneys or insurers.
Do you investigate online activity or social media?
Yes. We review publicly available social media accounts, online activity, and public records using lawful OSINT methods to build comprehensive profiles for personal, legal, or business purposes.
